This article describes the process for customizing the Service Portal colours for vCommander® 6.1.4 and later.

Embotics® provides a sample theme that allows you to customize the colours of the vCommander service portal.

Note: The vCommander admin console colours and theme cannot be updated and are unaffected by these changes.

Applying the Custom Theme

First you will need to download the sample theme for version 6.1.4 and above from the link below

Next

Extract the contents of the zip on the vCommander server to <vCommander Install Directory> Embotics\vCommander\tomcat\public

The extracted folder must be named emb_theme

Next

Open the files below from the emb_theme folder with a text editor like notepad ++

Ui.core.css

Ui.custom.css

Ui.theme.css

Find the HEX colours below and replace them with the hex colour codes of your choice

Embotics login background - #F16531

command orange - #FF6E2A

You will need to restart the vCommander service for the changes to take effect.

Applying a Custom Logo

If you are using a custom logo you will need to copy logo.jpg

From: <vcommander install directory>\\Embotics\vCommander\tomcat\public\images\ logo.jpg

To: <vcommander install directory>\Embotics\vCommander\tomcat\public\emb_theme\images\ logo.jpg

If you do not have a custom logo applied but would like to, please refer to the online documentation Configuring the Service Portal.

Rolling Back

To roll back to the default embotics theme simply delete the emb_theme folder and restart the vCommander windows service.
